Claiming Divinity

Jesus directly referenced God’s name, “I AM”, in John 8:58, which the Jewish leaders understood as a claim to deity. He also stated, “I and the Father are one” in John 10:30

Accepting Worship & Exaltation

Jesus accepted worship from people, such as When Apostle Thomas exclaimed as, “My Lord and My God” in John 20:28, and Jesus did not correct him.

His Resurrection

His Resurrection from the dead is considered the ultimate proof of His divinity and power over death.

Jesus’ apostles identified Him as God. Peter referred Jesus as our God and Savior in 2 Peter 1:1

Pre-Existence of Jesus Before the World Was

John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. This Word is the one who brought all things into being at creation (John 1:3). John 1:1 teaches that the Word is eternal, the Word has had an eternal relationship with the Father, and the Word as to His nature is deity. Matthew 1:23 – Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son, and they shall call His name Immanuel, which is translated :God is with us

Philippians 2:9 describes Jesus being exalted to the Highest place – Every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus is Lord.

The concept of the Trinity, that God exists as Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit affirms Jesus’ co-equality and co-eternality with God the Father.
